Fairytales of Yesterday

ABOUT
Erin (eh-rin)

5'3, round subject, available mostly in greens and purples.

Gryffindor, loyal mama bear. Gets along well with animals and friendly people. Less well with jerks.

Care Instructions: Needs copious amounts of literature in all forms. Specifically craves Grindeldore, Wolfstar and Potlack. Will also do well with turtles, Harry Potter, Star Trek and Doctor Who.

Known Issues: Blurting out random things, overly friendly and can be moody. Posts obsessions dealing with parings, animals, and Robert Plant.

felled:

The Muslim woman as constructed by book covers designed to make white people feel better about themselves. Note two cases of the same image used twice.

I remember my professors at the AUC talking about how difficult it was to get published as an Arab female writer if they weren’t writing about either:
oppression, or
escaping oppression
Proof of that is above. God forbid there be some other story of interest to tell.

I’m actually noticing heavy exoticisation archetypes in the FONT chosen.
Ridic.

I made some new covers
For the discerning Muslim woman

look for my next bestseller.

back when this happened. oh man.

AHAHAHAHA OMG THIS IS AMAZING ROFL

excellent

I only read one of these books but wow the lack of variety in these covers sucks haha. There have to be other books out there with obviously different covers by Muslim female writers or books based on Muslim females. I want to see another collage!

XDDD I died at the “real” picture. “Except for this one. She’s weird” XD
